Jeb Ory: CEO and Co-founder
Jeb loves to meet new people and understand what makes them tick. He learns what people’s needs are and comes up with simple ways to solve their problems. Jeb has a background in consumer mobile technology (he co-founded The App House with Kilton Hopkins) and enterprise sales. Prior to starting The App House, Jeb led the Retail Solutions Group at DCI Marketing, where he helped Fortune 500 Retailers design and implement in-store merchandising strategies. Jeb graduated from Stanford in 2003, and bolted on an MBA from Chicago Booth in 2011.
Kilton Hopkins: CTO and Co-founder
Kilton loves huge challenges. He started programming when he was eight, and built a fully functional robotic hand when he was 10. Sensing that mobile would change everything, he left managing a group of 12 engineers at JP Morgan Chase to co-found The App House with Jeb in 2009. When not found burning the midnight oil at the 5Degrees office, Kilton can be found playing guitar and singing with his band, Section Gang. Kilton completed his MBA from Chicago Booth in 2010.
Kelly Schwedland: COO and Co-founder
Kelly builds things that people need. Kelly breaks complicated problems down into simple concepts. At 5Degrees, he is responsible for managing product development and internal operations. Kelly recently exited a financial services business that generated more than $250M in annual revenues to join (and seed) the 5Degrees team. He received his MBA from Chicago Booth in 2010.
